This place, la Plaza Vieja , built in the 16th century, is evolving once again -- just restored, it is becoming a future point of local life, a perfect square with a fountain in the center, no central monument. It¹s as if this square is waiting for the Blue Cape to rap itself around the fountain...
There is also something very special about the history of this place... at first Plaza Nueva was intended for the public at large, subsequently becoming a slave market for many years...The water running in the new fountain was also running a long time ago for the slaves, chained and waiting in line...and the Blue Cape will remember those slaves in its tour around la Plaza...
